Jessie & James

A new Company designing some great new style childrens and babywear, using buttons manufactured to their specification from Totally Buttons.  Read about the new designers (taken from their website http://www.jessieandjames.co.uk/):

About Us

Jessie and James met whilst both working for Vivienne Westwood at the London Studio. Jessie trained at the University of Art in Berlin under Vivienne Westwood and moved to London to join Vivienne’s creative team and eventually became her Head Pattern cutter. James was spotted at London Graduate Fashion week and became Menswear designer at Vivienne Westwood designing for the mainline Man and the Japanese License collections. After five years of working closely, it was love at first sight…well nearly ; ) and soon our son Billy ‘the Kid’ was born.

We always had the dream to start our own label and we saw an opportunity at this time to do something new and adventurous with our skills and experience.Learning abstract and clever ways to cut clothes and designing garments in a playful humorous way we decided that the kidswear market was the obvious choice.

We started designing a few little garments, which evolved into a whole collection and decided to take the plunge and launch Jessie and James. We are passionate about what we do, and we love working closely with our UK manufacturing team who help us to produce our garments to the highest standards.  We believe in the UK clothing industry and production and most of our fabrics are sourced from the North of England.

Our brands ethos is to produce 100% British, high quality modern kids wear clothing with a strong unique identity. We use innovative cutting principles to create new silhouettes, which are fun and enhance every child’s individual character. Every effort is focused on making each garment comfortable and practical and always fashionable.

The collection of 23 styles is for boys and girls from ages 3 month to 3 years. The clothes are very versatile and there are many ways to combine each style to create a different, personal and lovable look.

The Jessie and James wardrobe captures the joy and spirit of a child.
